Reloading will be an issue as well, but once she finds ways to take multiple shots from the same limb she will be a DPR monster. She also will have four expensive weapons that will all need to be enhanced eventually. She also doesn't get any bonus feats besides TWF and Improved TWF, so she will be starving for feats to improve her ranged attacks. I think an optimal build with her would have High DEX, almost as high STR, solid CHA, decent CON, and 10 or less INT/WIS. The main disadvantage is that it is MAD, mixing ranged attacks, melee attacks, and charisma abilities. This class has a lot going for it, and some obvious disadvantages as well. It's definitely thematic, but I need a name for it to go with Umbra Witch. After doing all of that I looked at the leveling up Table and noticed there were gaps at 8, 12, and 16 so I threw in Swashbuckler's Charmed Life ability. I also kept/modified some of the gunslinger/swashbuckler deeds because they fit well enough. I included some of her Bullet Arts, which she can use if she has at least one magic point, or by spending magic points (just like Grit). I stole the gunslinger/swashbuckler grit and Deeds mechanics, which lines up perfectly with the Magic Gauge from Bayonetta's games. I got rid of spellcasting altogether, and got rid of all the Witch hexes except for Prehensile Hair. As I began to add her martial abilities (Bullet Arts from the Bayonetta games) I realized she was split way too many directions. I gave her Witch hexes, and the ability to make melee attacks with one handed firearms, while also shooting those firearms. ![]() I started out with a Full BaB, 4th-level caster CHA-based Spontaneous caster (like Bloodrager), who draws spells from the Witch spell list. I have only played/DM'd characters up to level 8, so I'm not experienced with what the damage numbers look like at those levels. I am usually really good at game balance, so I think I've done a good job with this, but my main concerns are the scaling of the levels post-10. As such I decided to create an Umbra Witch class. It did a decent job, but it didn't feel like a true Umbra Witch. I tried a strange multiclass of Spellslinger, Witch, Mysterious Stranger, and Eldritch Knight. As a fan of the Bayonetta series I wanted to create an Umbra Witch PC. I have been only playing Pathfinder for 8 months now, but I spend a lot of my time creating new characters that I never end up playing. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
